  • The primary goal of this survey was to collect, analyse and explain the views of the users of the Library of Education Studies, Philosophy and Psychology. It also sets out to investigate how users meet their needs and expectations in the library and how they respond to its operation. A scale of 29 questions was created, based on discussions with the users and the personal experience of the researchers who belong to the staff of the library. The questionnaire was distributed at random to 150 users in the library. They were asked to answer on a six-point Likert scale to what extent they face problems with the use of the library. Nine factors were shown off to be significant from the factor analysis : 1 Classification of books, 2 Completeness of journals and reference material, 3 Classification of journals, 4 Use of Computers, 5 Dates and library working hours, 6 Borrowing, 7 Staff, 8 Children's books section, 9 Study rooms and conditions of study. The findings from the survey reveal that there is a correlation between those factors and the general user satisfaction in relation to library's operation. It also correlates those factors with the ability of users to cover their bibliographical needs, their sex, age, department and the year of their studies. The paper concludes by indicating that the results could become a very significant force in the development of user education programmes and have a central role to play in the future.
