- The work describes a experience of selfevaluatión made by the Work party Interlibraries (ETI Evaluation of information units) which belongs to the National University of La Plata, that has as objective the development of "indicators of management” applicable to all the Libraries of the Universtiy with the purpose of knowing the situation of them, in order to facilitate the decision making and the proces of continuous improvement". As result of the data gathered and statistical data processing of 2004 indicators of first level, were obtained, that allow us to count on basic information to make a diagnosis of the state of the libraries up to this moment. As well, and since the used methodology is similar to the one developed by REBIUN, the obtained results were compared with those of the Spanish libraries in the same year. Finally, as this work comes making - with variants from 1997, the evolution of the libraries of the UNLP throughout the time can be observed.
