- A brief historical review locates in the present panorama of fragmentation and general precarization to us in the world of the work. Considering the particular aspects of the profession, as much in relation to the academic formation as to the present practices of work, the present work raises within the Argentine librarianship community, the deficiency of labor identity and the lack of organizations who defend to the working librarian like so. It aggravates this situation the basic lack of legislation on libraries, public policies of information and professionals to position. The limited action of the professional associations, specifically in this scope and the communitarian practices makes difficult the single idea to discuss an own union organization.
