- In this paper, the authors present an experience in following up publications resulting from scientific meetings, regularly celebrated, by a network of documentation centres and libraries specialized in Latin American Studies (REDIAL). This paper proposes the systematization of their bibliographical control as serials instead of isolated monographs, as part of the maintenance policy of a coherent and complete collection, in order to improve the services of the specialized libraries. The difficulties met in locating and including them in catalogues of specialized, university and scientific libraries, are discussed. Finally, the paper offers a cooperative project for the dissemination of this documentation through “Americanismo.es”, a thematic portal.
