- A critical analysis of the state-of-the-art knowledge management and its relation with information management is carried out. Its different forms of expression, its relation to the information technologies, as well as its introduction in Cuba are studied. Likewise, the most important models for the application of knowledge management in the organizations are exposed. Finally, the place and importance of the portals as knowledge management tools in the institutions and their evaluation are analyzed.
