- The synonymy between source and origin, so clear for the journalists, it is not so for the scope of documentation. However, the task of documentalist is to offerg determined services to concrete users, reason why the adaptation effort will have to come from the information professional and not from documentalist, which does not have to derive in a carelessness on the part of the documentalist of its functions from trainer of good users. The formation of the user has to be considered like an interaction of necessities (documentary and to document) and not like an attempt of adaptation of user and its demands to our limitations, essentially intellectual. For that reason, it turns out to us somewhat complicated to get to discern what the concept of intelligence source is for journalists, considering source the individual or group that offers a certain information in a while, on a unexpected form or with premeditation, and in many cases treachery, making the communication with a certain aim (clear example is the information spilled by the press cabinets); also the generating geographic area of noticiables facts is considered like source in a while determined.
