  • In our contemporary world, libraries want to fulfill the users’ optimal expectations. It is well-known that public opinion creates both the libraries’ position and their appearance. Is this really a true statement? What factors affect the creation of a positive profile of a library? Are they really important? What will it be in the future? The authoresses aim to advance knowledge about personal management within the library, effective management practices, motivational processes, how to resolve conflicts, public relations. Also in this paper, the authoresses describe the elements which create the institution appearance. The paper will show the questionnaires results measuring library staff and student satisfaction from two of Cracow’s academic libraries. Their results help to better understand the differences between library staff and users’ opinions; internal and external views.
