- The author presents the principles outlined in NISO's (National Information Standards Organization) document, entitled: "A Framework of Guidance for Building Good Digital Collections" in the context of Kujawsko-Pomorska Digital Library. Certain conditions, as well as certain activities of project planning in the area of creation of digital resources were pointed out in these principles. It is an attempt at the comparison of American normative records with Polish professional practice. Apparently, a similar approach to metadata was used, as well as careful creation of precise and high-quality digital objects. A systematic and carefully planned data and collection management, as well as properly addressed software requirements also played an important role.
