- Currently, the Technical Secretariat for Digital Library of unam’s (National Autonomous University of Mexico) General Directorate for Libraries (dgb) is working in the text digitization corresponding to the papiit’s (Programa de Apoyo a Proyectos de Investigación e Innovación Tecnológica) opac of unam’s Library System. Those aspects concerned to this Program and its collection that have been useful in the text digitization process and its integration to the opac referred are exposed. Also, several topics involved in the digitization process are outlined, such as standards, security, and copyright, as well as marc 21 tags codification for electronic resources.
