- In this work we make use of the new information representation techniques, as the web sites co-citation analysis (co-sitation analysis) and the multidimensional scaling (MDS), in order to analyze graphically the relations between the web sites of universities from different countries. We try to demonstrate that these relations follow a geopolitical pattern and not an academic pattern, and therefore, they can be considerated authentic "geopolitical" maps of Internet. These representations types let us obtain a snapshot of one geographic region and one moment in time, so they could be used as a tool for sociopolitical analysis of the reality.
