- The comprehensive study of bibliographic relationship become more important due to the development of cooperative cataloging, online catalog and Internet. The paper gives a thorough introduction about bibliographic relationship from several facets, that is, the relationship between bibliographic relationship and library catalog, functional requirements of library catalogs, the type of bibliographic relationship and it’s application. It introduces the entity relationship in FRBR, find the optimal link methods between works, thereby enhance the efficiency of catalog function, and finally to have further comments and insights on expression of bibliographic relationships in the future catalog.
