- In this article, is outlined the concept of Knowledge,taking in account that the concept itself changes its meaning depending on which field of application we are dealing with. Are considered the definitions of explicit and procedural knowledge. Are analyzed new aspects of the object, such as digital representation and changes within the processes of production and transference of goods and knowledge. Is presented the concept of Knowledge Management and the different lines of work related to it. Are given the methodology on which are based knowledge generators and the technologies of Knowledge Management currently in use. Finally are given the present trends in our field.
