- An approach to the reality of company archives in Spain can be made from several perspectives. The article analyzes two aspects that center the activity and the sense of the company archives: the cultural aspect, as members of the corporative memory of the organization, and the administrative aspect, as axes of the records management at the companies. The emphasis in any of the two aspects is determining to define the place that occupies the archive within the organizational chart of the company and to clarify what the company expects of its archive
