- The seminar of Florence had a twice merit. It faced a very important topic and very focused in the professional debate: the outsourcing and the services in the libraries. In the second place it joined all the subjects involved in the outsourcing. These subjects are: the same libraries, like employers, pushed to use the channel of outsourcing for going ahead; the companies facing with this new truth, often revealing themselves not enough satisfied; the Libraries Employees recruited from companies or with direct relationships with Institutions, not fully protected. All these subjects are asking to be represented from AIB, that is watching development of the Libraries services quality and professionality protection. The Association involvement is obvious since Osservatorio Lavoro of the AIB was the editor of the "Linee guida sui requisiti di qualificazione dei gestori in esterno di attività dei servizi bibliotecari", in 2004.
