- This research focuses on the analysis of the social representations of the librarian role, in view of the fast and continuos transformation undergone in the field of information science. Users of the main library of the National University of Mar del Plata were surveyed using qualitative methods. The results of the research help to identify the elements that constitute the role of the librarian, as well as the conceptions that generated them.
