- Events related with the origin and formation of Information Science is systematized. Trends, the foundation of institutions, influence of personalities and the main changes during seven decade are analyzed. The author considers this study an overview about foundation of Information Science. This study begins in 1895, when the documental activity institutionalizes; and concludes at the beginning of the decade 60, making emphasis in facts with relevant importance for the development of our science. This study follows the next thought outline: Biblioteconomy / Bibliography-Documentation-Information science.
