- Paper title: "An approximation to the political barriers in the Mexican public libraries." This papers focuses the importance for the Library and Information Studies professionals (LIS) to understand the link between politics and public libraries and librarians. It argues that when LIS professionals do not assume a political role in LIS politics and when they deliberately keep away from library politics, automatically they are playing the political role of unawareness, and their lack of political participation on any library matters make them a political barrier too against the development of public libraries.
