- This article says runs on and the importance of the actuation of the university libraries in relation to the project of law of innovation “Lei de Inovação” who support to the Scientific and Technological Development, universities that develop research with support of companies, through the contribution and counterpart of interests of the private initiative. A sector that more needs and aims at this contribution is the industrial. It argues in this context with arguments of the area of Librarianship and Information Sciences, in the line of performance and research in Information for Industry in Businesses, its importance in this performance. It defines its main objectives, its importance in its conceitualização. It displays some results of research carried through in the 2001 with great industries and importance of the use of this type and information. One concluded that the industrial sector needs ready and organized information and that the university libraries must participate actively in this concept, organizing themselves to supply to the information organized scientific technique, through the chances and accords between university-industry.
