- The article "On the concept, classification and typology of internet and web information resources" is a partial contribution to a discussion on a complex problem of revealing the nature, functions and properties of electronic (digital) information resources available through Internet and its service WWW. The content and scope of principal concepts which are presented at the beginning as working definitions are viewed through an analysis of selected classifications and typologies of information resources used in real systems which process them and make them available. A special place in the article belongs to a specific typology of electronic messages transmitted in the Internet space known as MIME (RFC 2046). But the main attention is paid to a detailed analysis and evaluation of classifications and typologies of internet and web resources used both in traditional libraries and in new systems running directly in the Internet network. A particular subject of this analysis are classifications and typologies of information resources within framework of the bibliographic formats USMARC, MARC 21, UNIMARC and follow-up rules AACR2R and ISBD(ER) and also newly designed typology for the formats of the British system ROADS and format Dublin Core. Mainly the trend for application of a type of information and their format (data representation) as substantial views for division of information resources available not only in electronic network way is emphasised.
