- In Germany library classifications wine more and more importance for book presentation. Indeed they delivery a famous instrument for working together between high school and li-brary. In this moment we can view a slant to growing internationality and an intensive work in the context of the project “DDC German”, but we need a number of concordances between some nationwide and international classifications. On the other side a new impact is given for problems of terminology. Above all a great importance within the field of classification belongs to the Regensburger Verbund-Klassifikation (RVK; Regensburg Network Classification). Here a new situation has developed because of the translation projects “RVK in Italian” and “RVK in English” ac-cording to the “Brixen Guidelines for Translation” (second ed. 2000). In this context you can find the actual perspectives of continuing work within the classification.
