- The implementation of a programme for collection development and management in a Spanish university library is presented drawing upon its definition, its goals and objectives and the different special sub-programmes that form part of it. Its methodology is based on the analysis of the user community, the study programmes and the lines of research in each of the departments and on the evaluation of the library collection.
