  • In the past twenty years we have been witness to important changes in the publishing of Geography journals in Spain. The number of published titles has increased notably and there has been a progressive and constant adjustment to publishing quality criteria. The publication of scientific journals is one of the indicators which allows to evaluate the level of development and the activity degree of a particular field of knowledge. The quality of the edition of a journal, which involves care in all formal matters and in its scientific contents, as well as its subsequent degree of impact upon the target group, is the ultimate sign of a scientific maturity of a discipline. The edition of Spanish Geography journals has increased its formal and contents quality, existing several of them which can stand alongside the renown international Geography journals.
