- Starting from the data picked up in the database Datathéke a study it is made guided to aim some of the characteristics of the research in Library and Information Science. In the first place the environment, characteristics and ends of the pickep up information is exposed, to latter to present the used methodology, and the analysis of the data that covers the particularities of the responsibility, the centers of thematic interest, as well as the differences that we find between the research works published in the different languages, with the purpose of finding if significant differences exist that can contribute some distinguishing feature.
