- The polysemy of the concept of "information" seems to be a natural consequence of the several knowledge areas employment of the term. It's bound to what we know as a "consuetudinary definition": different special ists express themselves according to up-todate knowledge on specific phenomenon. Such definitions would be changed or reformed pari passu the research development. Arguing Information Science should - or should not - have an unique conception to the term is as infeasible as innocuous.
