- History professionals need access to the widest number of information sources related to their selected topics. In the old days, historians searched in printed sources; nowadays this is changing. Presence of new information sources, such as historical information on electronic and digital formats, have enhanced the creation of the first historical databases, which gives a better way to stock, recover and use this kind of information.
