- A botanical garden is at the moment an important information center in which through its library and archive, herbarium and alive collections, a valuable information can be obtained on subjects related to the vegetation of the territory where it is located. If in addition it is an historical garden, like the first one of Valencia, founded on 1631 - although its present location is since 1802- in its library and archive can be found important documents for the historical botany investigation of the Valencia (Spain) and Aragón (Spain).
