- The results from an informetric study developed with the goal of measuring the presence, at the international scale, of medical files in the priority fields of research defined by the policy of the Cuban Ministry of Health are submitted. From an automated search in the 1990-1996 Medline database (CD-ROM), it is determined the recurrence of terms by making a ranking ordering as well as the institutions that have carried out the greater number of researches with the support of this resourse. These results show the presence of this source of information in eleven out of the twelve fields of analysis and in four American institutions with a significant number of researches during the period taken as a referral frame.
