- Whit the aim of making a modest contribution to the history of the Cuban bibliography on Pharmacy, the publications released in the island during the 19th century, with information pertaining to this speciality, are reviewed. To that purpose, it is included in principle the sources that make up the background for the emergence of the national pharmaceutical press; formal and content aspects of nine journals of the discipline released in Havana between 1863 and 1900 are described and information is given about the place where they can be located. It is planned that present and future generations of Pharmacy specialists and information professionals connected with this branch of science know and remember the titles where the results of the scientific production of those Cubans that devoted themselves to the study of remedies and their composition are registered.
