- This paper describes difficulties that Library at Faculty of Technology – Leskovac has overcome from early beginnings toward its final goal – a virtual library. The Library started formation of an electronic database in 1995. The Library used BIBLIO, a CDS/ISIS program in DOS version, at the beginning, and turned into WINDOWS version in 2001. Besides local database (belonging to Faculty of Technology) the Library used secondary library sources (located on CD-roms) and electronic dictionaries. In 2001 the Library was connected to the Internet, which allowed e-mail communications, interlibrary loans as well as downloading of abstracts and full papers from electronic journals. In the same time, the Library has an access to Ideallibrary and Emerald databases. The Library has two its own programs for learning of English.
