- The current situation concerning information technologies is reviewed, based on the identification of the main issues ethically affecting the users community. The unequal access to information is highlighted as a major ethical problem of today that is the origin of a new social class: the rich in information. It is concluded that the relation ethics / new technologies should not be reduced merely to the theoretical aspect, but it must be common practice for individuals, organizations and states.
