  • Intellectual resources in the frame of knowledge management is frecuently found in the literature on enterprise management published by developed countries, because, among other reasons, to the concern given to information and knowledge in the increase of competition in the market. Aimed al defining the concepts of knowledge management and intelectual resources and also showing some existing models to assess the intelectual resources of a given organization. A literature review available in Internet using the search engines: Google and Excite was carried out. After the analysis of initials results, 20 bibliographic sources suitable to the teaching approach of this research were chosen. Some of the leading capitalist enterprise such as Microsoft, American Airlines and Skandia insurance company use diferent models to assess their intellectual resources intended to determine strenght and weakness in this crucial area for the surviving of modern organization. The study of intellectual resources, in any area of activity: finances, business, economy or others is of paramount importance to identify the resources available in an enterprise.
