- Artistic production is one of the vestiges of material and immaterial cultural heritage left by human beings throughout their existence. Artistic manifestations are also on the city walls, places that enshrine the ephemeral nature of graffiti, with their surfaces altered and erased daily. Given this, the question is: how is it possible to guarantee the persistence of graffiti as an information resource and, consequently, attest its access and visibility to future generations? As a general objective, a model of documentary representation of graffiti is proposed, aimed at access and visibility, with descriptive, thematic, cultural, temporal and ideological characteristics. For its reach, the following specific objectives are defined: to evaluate methods and present instruments available for the description of graffiti that provide conditions for its persistence and identification as an informational resource. This article, with a qualitative approach and applied nature, seeks descriptive and exploratory objectives and makes use of bibliographic and documental procedures. As contributions stand out: discussion of informational resources and documental representation as an object of Information Science, of graffiti as a cultural manifestation, of the ephemerality of street art, with emphasis on graffiti, and of the consecration of informational resources as material cultural goods .
