- Taking as reference the classification of values made by Riegl for monuments and by Brandi for works of art in order to be able to evaluate them as heritage objects within the methodology used by Conservation-Restoration, an analytical crossing is made with the contributions made by Schellenberg and Wyffells from the Archival discipline; the first by formulating the notions of primary and secondary values, the second from the theoretical approach of the "Document Life Cycle". This analysis makes it possible to show the symbiotic relationship between the two disciplines, materialized in the valuation or identification of attribute values as a substantial part of the methodological component used by the two specialties when establishing the relevance of the objects of their field of study to decide regarding the final destination of the same.
