- The process of revision of the Anglo-American Cataloging Code, 2nd edition (AACR2) and, consequently, the development of Resource Description and Access (RDA) as the theme of this research, evaluates the relationship between cataloging and technological changes, the last decades. The general objective of this research is to analyze the technological context of the development of the RDA. To do so, it is used the specific objectives of [1] to identify the correlation between technologies, cataloging and their instruments; and [2] to assess the influence of technologies on RDA development. With descriptive and exploratory objectives, this research has a qualitative approach and applied nature.
