- Had it not been for the technological breakthroughs in the last few years, video broadcasting in the web would have been almost impossible. Despite there is still a long distance to cover, in fact is nowadays the user who has a broadband web connection can consume audio-visual contents in the web both with an acceptable image quality and a smooth reproduction flow. This piece of work attempts to go through the different client applications (player) currently allowing video reproduction in the user’s computers thanks to streaming technology. Moreover, we will focus on how the video is being embodied as another element in the Web interface design , thus creating true multimedia settings.
