  • It is necessary to work intensively on the development of a regional multi-base information system that allows the capture of precise data on the evolution of the construction of communities. The measurement of this evolution is obtained through publications and circulation circuits of knowledge and academics. To do this, capture and processing systems have been configured that allow scalability from the author environment, through the granularity of organizational divisions, up to the capacity to process information from a country. These exercises pose challenges at the micro and macro levels. At the micro level, research is being carried out to improve the integration of information systems and the identification of entities in large volumes of data. At the macro level, the challenge lies in the optimization of software for massive information processing and the improvement of infrastructures (hopefully collaborative) for the storage and processing of said information on a regional (Latin American) scale. Important advances have been made in this (CoLaV-University of Antioquia Model), achieving developments that are determined by the sources where more information from Latin America can be presented, unlike systems such as Pure, determined solely by the scope of the databases, which are developed by companies such as Elsevier or Clarivate.
