- The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Argentina is part of the Open Government initiatives since 2016 when the administration issued the Decree 117 “Data Opening Plan” that instructs the Executive Branch to create an Open Data Plan so that its dependencies share their datasets through the national portal. In this context, the ministry’s library can join this trend identifying and publishing its own datasets that reflect the library activities and services. This approach can serve as an inspirational model for other government libraries. These actions might trigger more and better engagement with the community, increased visibility, and improved integration in this challenging scenario.
