- This work reviews the characteristics and features that semantic wikis should offer. To do this, it defines an ideal theoretical model, from which a functionalities analysis matrix is developed. This matrix applies to three applications widely regarded as semantic wikis. The results show that, although they are capable of implementing basic semantic web structures, there are differences in their approaches and performance. Improved processing of ontologies and other vocabularies, and linked data integration are developments needed in future versions of the tools.
