- The purpose of this article is to know the documentary universe, in the field of scientific production, which deals with the subject of the school library and educational quality. The exercise is part of the research: The impact of the school library on educational quality in Colombia: a study through the results in census tests. Initially, the literature review is introduced and contextualized within the framework of the research project. Then, we present the methodology used to carry out the review, to give way to the presentation of the results in two ways: the analysis of scientific production and the analysis of the fundamental conceptual categories for the research exercise. Then a brief discussion section is developed that links the analysis of the results and closes with the conclusions, where tendencies, findings and knowledge gaps are proposed in the field of the school library and educational quality.
