- In the present informational society, the visualization of information and knowledge makes it possible to achieve an effective representation, understanding and communication of the growing volume of information coming from diverse sources and the great variety of complex and abstract con-cepts that exist, all of which would be very difficult if we adopt only a verbal perspective. However, in Latin America, the potential of this field of science from the Pedagogical Sciences is not sufficiently exploited to influence the training of university professionals, which limits successful perfor-mance in certain informational tasks. In this paper, the notion of visualization of information and knowledge was developed and pedagogical opportunities were defined that help to enhance the information treatment and effective communication in the training framework of future univer-sity professionals.
