  • The training of health professionals requires high standards, where the evaluation towards teaching compliance must seek valid instruments that allow a fair, accurate and reliable assessment; the syllabus, an instrument that manages the learning process according to the graduation profile can be defined as the main teaching tool at the service of the student. The objective was to determine the validity of the syllabus follow-up instrument within the teacher evaluation process. The instrument fulfilled the process of validity of content and criteria; The validation of the internal consistency was performed by Kuder-Richardson reliability analysis, the validation of the construct by correlation analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. The syllabus follow-up instrument constructed by the Academic Vice-Rector for the evaluation of all the Careers, shows an adequate validity for its application within the Obstetrics Career of the Central University of Ecuador.
