- The Digital Humanities are framed in digital culture, as an area of multicultural scientific and academic activity that goes beyond the mere instrumental use of technologies. Despite the speed of its continuous evolution, it can still be called incipient, but its inter/transdisciplinary and cooperative nature cannot be discussed, nor that school librarians and libraries have the obligation to be permanently updated. For this reason, the School Library in the Information and Knowledge Society is responsible for assuming a role and a series of educational functions that strengthen it even more in the dynamic educational environment. As Henry Jenkins says, we exist as long as we participate as active prosumers, so it is necessary from the BE not only to promote this participation but also to take responsibility for doing so from a critical point of view. Consequently, the library should not miss the opportunity to design and implement projects where emerging technologies (ICT, robotics and artificial intelligence) impact and optimize the services provided in pursuit of curricular development and innovation. This type of information unit is key for the educational institution, since in addition to being the informative-documentary nucleus, it is the space that generates learning opportunities and creates the possibilities for the production of knowledge, in order to advance in the construction of a digital humanism. In the present work we intend to identify the practices and initiatives, projects, products, etc. that can be carried out by school libraries considering the pedagogical participation of the Digital Humanities, as well as elucidating the spaces for training and professional updating.
