- In this work the strategic plans of Spanish university libraries are studied, specifically, 47 publicly owned libraries. The essentialpart of the study has focused on analyzing allusions to communication in order to proceed to a comparative analysis between thedifferent texts and check the aspects of organizational communication management that they reflect. Of the libraries analyzed, 28use strategic plans, of which 85.7% address communication-related aspects. The most accurate and detailed information is in theactions (or strategies) and in some of the objectives. The priorities presented are, for example, those related to dissemination andmarketing plans; improvements in the internal communication of library staff; or communication with users, etc.
