  • Governments need to change their management models in order to face successfully the challenges of eGovernment. Beyond the institutional pose for new technologies, the importance of ICT and the hackneyed theme of "24 / 7" we are in a scenario in which the law requires to have an active presence on the network and in which, thanks to the social web technologies, users have some informational skills who do not get a satisfactory answer from the administration. In this scenario one of the few services close to the paradigm "24 / 7" and in which the users "notice" two-way communication is the library. And not coincidentally, the changes in information management for years have been affecting the daily life of the libraries. The introduction of social technology tools have made us rethink our role of intermediaries and we know the importance of users. So much that we have been restructuring our relationship with them for decades. EGovernment will be possible when technology is also a work tool, a communication tool. In this passage the library staff (we have already covered much of the way) can share our experience. To assist in the construction of the new administration, we must improve the stereotyped image that we offer as professionals undertaking initiatives that affect the creation and modification of new services to citizens. Services, which become apparent in our knowledge of reality and the new web information environment. In this paper we review the activity in this regard by the Muskiz library in their municipality.
