- Academic communication is changing. Open access seems to be consolidating and initiatives such as Plan S abound so that all science financed with public funds is published openly. Against this background, we have analyzed the vision of authors and publishers Spaniards before these and other technological and structural changes. For this we have interviewed in depth 15 directors and heads of academic journals indexed in Web of Science or Scopus. On the other hand, we have launched a survey of 1,254 authors from the same journals.
