This poses, from our point of view, a greater number of opportunities than threats; We hold this position based on the idea of ​​promoting and re-categorizing the profession by incorporating new technologies, within a framework of transdisciplinarity and multidisciplinarity. The role that we must assume is undoubtedly a leading one in which, through our professional expertise, we provide work teams with robustness in the search and information retrieval processes, but at the same time, we share with the users around us In this new paradigm, the same needs for that information and the interest to produce with those results, the transformation into knowledge of it. Taking as a premise that digital information is ubiquitous, we propose that he and the librarian be so in turn, or at least as some have already come to call, homeless librarians. It is in this sense, that transcending the physical limits of libraries and through the application of tools typical of library science, now ordered within a structured, iterative and sustained over time system such as Surveillance and Strategic Intelligence, some INTI information professionals are promoting this new integration model.
