- The COVID-19 crisis has generated a scenario of exceptional dimensions, due to the amount of data that is shared, and its global dimension. Much of this information —especially visual—, is transmitted through social networks. How will this collective heritage be preserved? What institutions, organizations and media are betting on citizen stories? This communication presents initiatives carried out in Spain to collect and preserve citizen information about the pandemic. They contemplate both the professional contribution and that generated by the audiences. The preliminary analysis makes it possible to draw first conclusions about the different models that have been applied, as well as the changes detected with respect to previous emergencies.
