Daftar Isi:
- This study aimed to investigate factors influencing the commercialization of applied research projects in Iran. This study was an applied study and survey. Pajek and VOSViewer were used to view the mutual information about applied research projects indexed in the Samat database provided by the Iranian Science Policy Research Center, the comprehensive database for indexing applied research projects in Iran. Scientific networks of the applied research projects were used to show the importance of some institutions, which are better to support. According to the current study, the most important subject area in the commercialization of research projects is the engineering field, including mechanical engineering, electronics, industry, and chemistry. This study suggests bilateral cooperation projects between industries and universities to improve the application of research projects. Moreover, statistical analysis of data showed that some institutions, such as the Razi Institute, Atomic Energy Organization, Science and Technology parks were crucial for commercializing research projects for several years. So they cannot be omitted in the cycle of research projects' commercialization. Besides, some factors such as unsuccessful marketing, inadequate access to distribution channels and customer interactions, scientific and economic competition, contrary to the objectives of researchers and manufacturers can affect the commercialization of applied research projects. The results showed that the most important subject area was the engineering field, and bilateral cooperation between industry-university should be supported by the government to improve the commercialization of applied research projects. National investment and trade in some institutes such as the Razi Institute, Atomic Energy Organization, Science and technology parks, etc., have a high impact in commercializing applied research projects.
