- This report presents the characterization of Open Access and APC payments for 157 thousand publications made by institutions Colombian. This is the first study done on Colombia, with the observed production amplitude, and the use of multiple bases of overlapping data. With this information, the members of the Colombia Consortium have very valuable information for decision-making, when sizing the investments made, and to be made, considering the costs of processing publications (APC). In turn, it is a useful input, due to its methodology, for other contexts and countries, with respect to its total scientific production, open access and the payment of APC for it.
