  • In the present work it is hoped to develop a collection development policy, understood as the process that allows the identification of the information needs of the users of the different information units, be it a public library, school, university or a documentation center, from an open science approach; understood as a means that allows the articulation between science, technology and innovation, collaboration and the contribution of others in research processes. Furthermore, the main objective of this work is to acquire knowledge through the introduction of other collection policies as a frame of reference for the construction of our own policy, which allows us, as students and future CIDBA professionals, to propose alternatives in efficient management. of the collections that contribute to users who make queries in an easy way, in addition to allowing interaction between these with the same users. On the other hand, the following Collection Development Policy is carried out taking into account both physical and digital resources, which is aimed at School Libraries in general, based on the fact that the Information Unit is part of an educational institution primary and secondary school. With the elaboration of this policy, we intend to address some of the topics seen throughout the course, applying part of the knowledge acquired and expecting a positive impact on the teacher for an enriching feedback on their part, which result in a better knowledge and mastery of the subject of collection development for our future professional laboratories.
